Situated at Villa Bighi in Kalkara, overlooking the Grand Harbour, this historic site underwent a transformation from a former Royal Navy hospital to a vibrant hub of learning and exploration.

Esplora, Malta’s Interactive Science Centre, is designed for curious minds of all ages. It’s not just a place; it’s an experience where science becomes fun, exciting, and enjoyable. Through hands-on interaction, workshops, performances, and science shows, visitors uncover the wonders of science in everyday life.

In this captivating environment, science is made accessible and engaging. The space is thoughtfully designed to encourage questioning, predicting, experimenting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions. Esplora offers a diverse range of features, including a Planetarium, an Outdoor Adventure Experience, and interactive exhibition halls tailored to various ages and interests.

The ‘Life at Bighi’ exhibition within Esplora’s Cot Lift area provides insight into the history of Villa Bighi as a hospital, adding a historical touch to the modern space.

Zaffarese’s contribution included the installation of I-Sign Fix for Interior Signage and Module Plus Outdoor for Outdoor Signage. Our commitment to blending design and functionality ensures that visitors can effortlessly navigate this immersive world of science.
